Guided reading is small-group reading instruction designed to provide differentiated teaching that supports students in developing reading proficiency'. The small group model allows students to be taught in a way that is intended to be more focused on their specific needs, accelerating their progress. I am asking for three guided reading collections and six sets of plastic bins to store the new books.With these resources I can meet my students' reading needs at their level. These books with help with our targeted instruction during our Response to Intervention (RTI) block. It will support my students' comprehensive reading time by integrating differentiated small–group instruction, assessment, and independent practice in the classroom. I plan to begin by grouping students, then prompt, encourage, and confirm how students apply problem-solving strategies as they read.
