Resources can be used in both the classroom or through virtual learning. My students are considered low socioeconomic, and unfortunately are not reading on a 4th grade level. Some are reading on a 1st-2nd grade level, and there are some who don’t know HOW to read - they were just passed on. This is is not how we build readers and leaders in our community. Instead, we should empower our students with the power of reading, and give them the opportunity to dream and realize those dreams through reading! Our students are our future and they deserve every opportunity to be successful regardless of their socioeconomic background.
