When students enter kindergarten, they come with a wide range of varying experiences, as well as different background knowledge about school. Our classroom represents just this, with the inclusion of 65% of the class being second language learners of English (that includes different first languages). Other students are highly gifted or have special needs. Overall, many of the students are experiencing the school culture for the very first time and have not attended pre-school. For us, this translates into making instruction a little different for all in order to help all of the students.

About my class
