A class set of Because of Winn-Dixie and Bud, not Buddy will provide a fun and engaging way to teach the ever so demanding Common Core standard to my students. Authentic text, will cause students to embrace reading rather than reject it. Students will be exposed to different topics, ideas and experiences they would not originally encounter. I hope to foster an unending passion for reading that will endure in the lives of my students carrying them into adulthood. Reading novels will also improve the level of writing my students are able to produce while providing a much needed boost of confidence.

About my class
