These aquariums and their accompanying accessories will be used in conjunction with 2 previously donated AquaSprouts garden kits. Our students participate in a STEAM enrichment class where they learn more deeply through experiential and project-based learning. These supplies will allow students to study a variety of topics within STEAM such as how water flows through pumps, how to maintain chemical balances, the photosynthetic process, and more! The students will answer questions like "how does fish waste feed plants?" and "how much oxygenation do fish require to live a healthy life?". This is the first time our entire school has returned to in-person learning since the pandemic began, and it's expected that students may have some disinterest or anxiety. These tanks will increase engagement and relieve anxiety in students to provide a welcoming classroom environment to renew their excitement for learning once again!
