I will use the nonfiction texts to help students make connections between the science they learn and the science they see. Students will use the STEM labs and Force and Motion labs to experiment in small groups. While the learning is happening, I will be providing content information through video segments and SKYPE opportunities with engineers. My hope is to make a connection with an engineer from Carowinds (local amusement park) so that students can see the "why" behind the "what". These materials will be used in many meaningful ways to help my students understand their standards and see the value in science as a future career. Thank you SO much for helping my students reach their full potential.
