My students get ecstatic when they get to perform on instruments! We need additional barred Orff instruments to enable more students to participate. This project has several phases that will add additional barred instruments in our classroom. Orff instruments are an amazing musical resource that makes it possible for students of all ages to learn, create, compose, and accompany their own compositions. Having an additional soprano xylophone will impact all my students from PK through 5th grade. In our classroom, we currently have 1 soprano xylophone. So, having an additional soprano xylophone will let another student play the instrument and those students can work together on their instrument part. When learning a new part on an instrument, students feel more confident when another student is playing with them.
