Many of the students in my class will come to school needing to be provided with basic school supplies, such as pencils and colors. I will give every student their own set on the first day. We use colors to make our math and science more interesting and complete diagrams. We also use other art supplies alongside them to complete projects in social studies and art. I'm asking for construction paper, Sharpie and Color Swell markers, Elmer's glue, Crayola colored pencils, and an X-ACTO School Pro electric pencil sharpener. My students have great potential, but often lack the confidence or motivation to engage and succeed in class. I aim to reward positive contributions in class through incentives with raffle tickets to win prizes and candy, including Jolly Rancher and Sour Patch candy. I will be introducing morning choice activities for thirty minutes every day, where students have the opportunity to be children, socialize with peers, and get some of the wiggles out before we begin learning for the day. Instead of using their Chromebooks, they will be able to play board games together, work together as a team to create constructions using the Marble Genius Marble Run Super Set and the Wooden Tower Deluxe Stacking Game. My students need new PE equipment, with the Dodgeball Set and Agility Cones I can teach them a variety of new and exciting games to make lessons more fun. I have also included clipboards so that students who would like to move away from their desk and work on the floor, or at alternative seating in the classroom, can keep their work neat and tidy. The Classroom Keepers 30-Slot Mailbox will allow each student to receive their graded work and any correspondence to go home. This will help keep them organized and reduce miscommunications with home. I added a few essential items for the classroom that will assist me with grading work, organizing and engaging students.
