My students are English-language learners and while many are from Spanish-speaking backgrounds, some speak African and other world languages. All of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and have limited access to technology outside of our school. Even though my students are making good academic growth gains, they still are at-risk. I'm looking for ways to give them equal access to technology and increase engagement and learning. Our elementary school is one of two IB (International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Programme) World schools in our city, and we explore stories and cultures from many parts of the world, often comparing them to our own families and backgrounds.
