After studying and writing poetry about what inspires them, students will craft sculptures with Twistees and plaster wrap, related to their science unit on energy. These sculptures will represent an idea or "model" of how to use energy to change our world for the better. Energy takes many forms, of course. Students may promote social change, an innovative use of energy sources, or an idea for streamlining a way energy is used or applied. Using ideas from their poetry, as well as research into the science of energy, students will "sculpt a better world" in a 3-D creation that inspires the mind and delights the eye!
