STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. I want to have STEAM bins for my students to use when they arrive in the morning, finish work early, or need a break. STEAM activities are very engaging to students and they enjoy learning while they play. I am a first year teacher and hoping that this helps all of my students build community among their peers in the morning. I am hoping that this helps all students feel less stressed throughout the day, because of the soft play start in the morning. There is a lot that happens in the morning, so being able to reduce some of the chaos would be great.
