At the end of this year, I will be moving to a brand new, empty classroom. In our classroom, learning doesn't just happen in our chairs. The students move around the room throughout the day to make themselves comfortable and focused for learning. Each student knows their good fit spot that makes them a successful learner. It could be on the floor with a comfy pillow, standing up or on a wiggle seat. Tables and flexible seating will help us move around the room easier and enable the children to have a space that fits their needs. For my second graders, tables will give the students an opportunity to engage in cooperative learning skills and team building. Our new furniture would allow the students to have a home away from home with their school family.
