Do you remember how it felt to hold a hard copy of a magazine? Growing up it was compared to having the world in the palm of your hands. Although my students read news articles via an online resource, many of them have never held a magazine in their hands. TIME for Kids magazine will allow my identified gifted students and nurturing students with potential the opportunity to engage in rich text and explore our culturally diverse world beyond their reach. I will use the magazines to develop their critical thinking sills as well as lead them into inquiry. Help me provide magazines that will engage and excite my gifted and nurturing students.
