This year's 9th graders are asked to read a novel selected from every content area in the school and complete a project attached to the novel. English selected Speak, Math selected Hidden Figures, Social Students selected Kindred and Science selected Never Let Me Go. We don't want the ability to purchase books to be a barrier that prevents students from reading! We also want to encourage our students to be active readers which helps supports reading comprehension. Once we receive the books and items the staff will pack welcome boxes and send them to the homes of the 9th graders!
