My learners love to be read to and they love listening to stories on the computer. There are many apps we use every day that give the students a choice of what type of book they want to listen too. Having a media center will make a big difference because it gives the learners more resources to help them become better readers themselves. I'm requesting twenty AVID headphones and a Childcraft Mobile Audio Station to create a reading listening center. I would love to add a listening center that will allow my learners to explore as many books as they choose. Reading is so crucial to a 1st grader and the more books they're exposed to the better. The listening center will also bring in more technology into the classroom during their reading workshop time.
