After a year and a half of remote learning, it is finally time to return to the classroom. I am so excited to see my students back in the classroom again, but I am also aware of the work we have ahead of us to get back on track. Regardless of the "learning loss" that occurred due to virtual school, we will all get back to were we need to be together. Both teaching and learning have transformed through virtual learning; technology has become embedded in our everyday practices. It is utterly important for my students to have access to the various online learning resources to continue to support their growth and ultimately help "close the gap". Having access to a computer in the classroom will help ease the transition from completely learning online, to infusing what we do in the classroom with the technology they have been using for the past year and a half. My goal is to ensure that my students are academically on or above grade level by the end of this school year, so they are prepared to enter high school and continue to soar.
