When grading papers or writing lesson plans, I often sit on my couch. This is where I am most comfortable. Considering this, I can't expect my students to do their best if they aren't in a position that allows for such comfortability. This project aims to provide classroom seating that meets the needs of each student. Today's student is ever changing and gone are the days of sitting in desks all day. Students like to move, collaborate, and feel comfortable. My students need wobble cushions, lap trays, yoga mats, bean bag chairs, and stadium seats to meet my student's needs. Your generous donation will provide my students with choice and comfortability, ultimately ensuring that the classroom is a welcoming and nurturing environment. Additionally, research shows that choice increases motivation to learn. This project provides students with the opportunity to choose a work space that best suit his or her needs- thus increasing motivation to learn and maximizing student potential.
