I am asking for tablets for my classroom because we live in a world that uses a wide variety of technology devices. Every where you look today some type of technology is being used. If its making a purchase at a grocery store or making a simple phone call children in this generation are being exposed to technology. My students talk to me daily about what they do on their devices at home which is not always age appropriate. By adding additional technology to my classroom it will also give children and their families a new way to connect outside of the classroom environment and help prepare them for the next steps in their educational journey. Many schools are already using technology in their classrooms. The tablets would be an addition to my learning environment and will allow me to make a positive connection between home and school. Due to so many children being exposed to technology in their homes that may not be monitored appropriately, my goal is help set this foundation and make a change for the better. I will be able to make this happen by allowing my families to checkout a tablet overnight with pre-loaded educational games. By funding my project my children would be given the opportunity to expand upon their prior knowledge and have the opportunity to extend their education at home. It will build a positive bond between children and their families and help strengthen a rapport with families and education. This will show progress and growth happening between children and their parents.
