My reading class is full of young minds eagerly waiting to learn about the world around them. In my room I encourage students to explore texts of all kinds. I encourage them to have conversations about their interests as well as their dislikes in texts. I want students to know and understand themselves as readers and learners. Any way that we can add a little more fun in to our day, we are right on it. We like to work with technology so we use our tablets to find additional books that may not be in our library. We also use apps on our tablets that help us practice the many other skills associated with reading. We also like to read about science experiments and then perform them!!! This year we made magnetic slime and made spaghetti dance! Teaching is one of the most challenging but also very rewarding job. I look forward to coming in every day and working with my littles.
