Madison Park Elementary School is filled with beautiful, diverse children. I am greatly appreciative to have students from all around the world, who speak different languages, and incorporate cultural uniqueness. I am fortunate enough to experience the great diversity everyday in my English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom. My students are gaining new experiences, reading and academic skills daily. They are motivated and eager to learn, however, learning a new language in addition to staying on grade-level is a great challenge for them. Through the difficulties, my student's determination and motivation is still present. Watching how hard these students work in situations that are so unfamiliar to them reminds me how crucial going above and beyond to better their learning experiences is for my classroom environment.
