My students are bright 4th graders who are eager to learn and conquer challenges. Like many fourth graders, they are charismatic, social, and interested in the world around them. However, teaching in a less fortunate area in Philadelphia, it is hard to ignore the lack of resources that my students have in order to maintain and achieve goals. Many of my students do not have the access to the technologies available that can enhance their learning at home, which brings a greater pressure on the school to introduce learning through technology. I believe that learning in a community that is labeled "high poverty" should not be a hindrance on student achievement.
