"Imagine the impact if schools were full of diverse books providing a literary peek into the lives of not only students themselves but of those around them." A great story featuring diverse characters can change the lives of students yearning to find themselves in a book, and it can help other students learn about experiences outside of their own. The students at Southeastern Elementary want to see themselves through the stories and pages of the books that fill their learning environment. It is after all the stories, that make us human. The books selected will fill our classroom library shelves for students to enjoy! These materials will also be carefully aligned with specific classroom curriculum so that teachers can invite students into learning, in an identity safe way, through the eyes of our students.
