The majority of my wonderfully bright students are second-language English learners. At our high school, students are afforded the opportunity of academic advancement in the form of open-enrollment for all advanced / honors and AP courses. Many of my students voluntarily enroll in these courses - and many of these same students qualify for free or reduced lunch. As such, most students require significant support from their teachers - and community - in order to be academically successful. Despite these challenges, many of our hard working and dedicated alumni have gone on to such prestigious schools as UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, San Diego State, Yale, and Harvard. With charitable donations from kindly donors like you, I can provide my students with the additional tools and scholarship they need to reach their academic goals. For this extra support and boost of confidence, we thank you.
