A purposeful play area with a "life-like" play kitchen set gives young learners time to develop important skills need for a productive future. These experiences give children time to create, grow their young minds, and learn to get along with others. Creating areas and experiences for young learners to explore, problem-solve, and communicate with their peers will help develop their social and emotional skills, and will help prepare them for college and career experiences in the future. I would like to provide my students with a play kitchen, foods, along with pots and pans, for imaginative play in the classroom. Purposeful play is a crucial aspect of developing young minds!
