Students are excited in the classroom when it's science time. This is an opportunity for them to learn, create, build, and test their designs. Many of our science activities involve everyday materials that are readily available. Cutting out and testing paper seeds gets them excited - so imagine what happens when they get to build machinery that can be found in their everyday lives. The K'NEX kits will allow students hands-on experience building machines for everyday tasks to solving real-world problems in their community. Students will get exposed to engineering that occurs around them and will have an opportunity to design and test out an idea to solve a problem in their community such as safer and stronger bridges to cleaner energy.
