When teaching learners with different abilities, my goal is to continuously give them choice. From what order they do their work in to which color marker they use, it is important that my students feel in control of their own learning. With these requested Wobble Chairs, pillows, Wobble Cushions, and Kick Bands Bouncy Chair Fidget Bands in the resource room I hope to grow the sense of choice and responsibility my students have. Flexible seating also promotes movement, which is crucial in my room since learners with certain diagnoses need to move around in order to be successful. Another benefit of flexible seating? It's fun! I hope by giving my students the opportunity to move around and pick where they sit will increase our rapport and promote classroom community.
