While technology has made the transition from a classroom to learning from home doable, the students are missing out on some of the things which make learning much more meaningful. Books are items which cannot simply be replaced by a phone or computer. There is nothing like holding a book in your hands! My students are missing out on this opportunity due to not having many books in their homes and not even being able to go to a library. My goal is to deliver four to five books to each student's house so that they can experience what it feels like to be a reader, with a book in their hands, once again! I do not want their love for reading to be squashed simply because we had to end our time in the classroom due to COVID19. Your assistance in helping my students continue on in their journey of learning to read would be much appreciated!
