Our school is a dual language (Spanish/English) immersion charter located in Los Angeles, California. We are in our third year as a charter, and we currently have approximately 220 students. It is wonderfully diverse with a population that is about 30% Hispanic, 30% African American, 30% Caucasian, and 10% other. Our students come from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of our students are on free/reduced lunches. My third grade class has 22 students. We are always busy learning math, science, social studies, and language arts all in two different languages! We are all proud to be learning a second language, and we look forward to continuing to improve.
