Multiple non-English speaking parents have expressed that they can not support their child's literacy since they can not speak or read English (and many are illiterate in his/her first language). The ability of the child to have access to literature and audio is invaluable. Literacy is an essential part of a child's educational experience. I have two portable CD players and headphones that I can lend to students with the audio on CD. They will be allowed to check these out and listen during school time and at home. Parents can even follow along and learn with their child! I would be honored to provide this possibility to the students and parents. Please help me provide this to my students! Thank you!
