We teach a group of at-risk 4 year olds and our primary goal is to prepare our students for kindergarten. Head Start is a Federally-funded educational program for eligible 3 and 4 year olds. Our site holds four Early Childhood classes, 2 three year old classrooms and 2 four year old classrooms. We work every day on helping our students become children who are ready to succeed in kindergarten. In addition to math, reading, science and art skills, our children are taught about cooperation, problem solving, and responsibility. Our students work hard at being positive contributors to our classroom and are always remembering our positive rules at school: Always Be Kind, Be Safe, and Care for Our Environment.
