The materials that I have selected will be put into great use this school year! The large rainbow carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom below the active board. The students will use the carpet as a gathering place for share time and during Number Corner and ELA lessons. I have seen a great difference in behavior and ability to learn when students have their own space on the carpet. Next, the organizational bins will be placed on the counter in the back of the classroom. These bins will organize the students' guided reading books and materials. In return, they will help our guided reading center run smoothly from day to day. Having a smooth transition from center to center will help to optimize teaching time and help my students become better readers. The donations made to this project will help to improve our classroom so that my students are set up for success. As a new teacher, any support I can receive in creating an effective classroom is greatly appreciated and can help make my vision into a reality. Thank you!
