There are numerous benefits in a classroom with flexible seating that result in increased academic engagement and improved behavior: students are able to move their bodies in a positive, non-disruptive way, they burn more calories, there is an increase in oxygen flow to the brain as well as improved core strength and posture. These materials will enable my students to make choices about where and how they learn best. My students will be able to stand at a desk, sit on balance balls, stools, and wobble cushions or sit on the floor on a cushion or with a lap desk. Your donation will help to transform my students learning environment to one that is more inclusive and conducive to collaboration, inquiry, and engagement.
