A year and a half ago I started teaching, second grade in East Cleveland. I am committed to my school and my students and want to provide them with the best education around. I want to create a safe, welcoming environment where students are encouraged to think, explore, and become responsible citizens. I want my students to be successful and provide them with books, educational games, and a reading corner. My school helps provide a limited amount of books which is wonderful but I would like to give my students a variety of books at different reading levels. My school also provides me with some supplies but students often do not have enough money to bring in their own supplies. With this money I plan to purchase reading books that will accommodate a variety of students such as English Language Learners, struggling readers, and advanced readers.
