My scholars are such a dynamic group of individuals. They come from a variety of ethnic and racial backgrounds, and some from homes where English is not their first language. They currently attend an elementary public charter school in New York City. Most of them come from low-income communities, and most receive free lunches. The enthusiasm and love of exploration that my scholars have continues to inspire my own teaching. I hope to instill a continued love and passion for learning and confidence to take ownership over their own successes and areas of growth, so that they continue to be motivated to achieve all that they desire.
