Given the current pandemic, we are trying to continue to get quality literature into the hands of our students. These books will be delivered to the homes of our students, so they are able to follow along with instruction during our daily zoom sessions. We will be using these books throughout the year to discuss issues of equity, race and social justice while increasing literacy skills. These issues directly impact the lives of students and therefore are critical to discuss. Additionally, these books are culturally relevant to the population we serve and therefore increase student engagement.

About my class
