I teach a K-1 loop at a public EL school in a small, rural town. My students come from diverse families: farmers, shop-keepers, service-workers, and healthcare providers and both indigenous and immigrant heritage. My students are getting a strong foundation in math and literacy along with a stronger dose of collective, community contribution.
