A generous amount of time that students spend in the classroom they are expected to listen and work. Much of the time it is assumed that students need to sit still while completing this work. In my classroom that is most definitely not the case. I highly recommend giving the students choice to move and learn in a way that is best suited for each individual student. These wiggle cushions will give my second grade students the opportunity to move while they learn in a non-distracting way during whole group lessons and individual seat work time. This movement tool will help to keep their brains engaged by fostering movement and learning simultaneously.
