Many of the students I work with need additional support in the area of mathematics. It is important for them to master foundational and functional skills. Our time working on math and finding ways to persevere through challenging projects helps my students develop real-world problem solving skills that they can apply to life outside of the classroom. The magnetic base 10 blocks and tens frames will help me provide visual supports, while the Math Instant Learning Kits and activity sets allow students to apply different mathematical principles to real word situations. This allows them to build off of prior knowledge and gives them the opportunity to connect and engage in math practice while feeling successful.
