After spending a year with my students, I have realized, that although they may experience hardship, poverty, and real life trauma, to invest only in those negative stories is to flatten their experiences and overlook the other great stories that complete them. While all of my students battle with adversities on the daily they also overcome them and persist in spite of them. They are extremely intelligent, creative, talented, expressive, innovative, inquisitive, athletic, artistic, and eager to learn. It is my goal to ensure that they have all the resources they need to reach every single one of their goals.

About my class
