A day in the life of a second grade classroom is very active. My students have lots of energy and it’s very difficult for them to sit at a desk all day. If we had a rug to meet at each morning, enjoy stories together on, and also engage in whole group lessons on, it would greatly impact the learning of my students. They would be more comfortable and it would be much easier to work collaboratively. We would also like to have this rug so we can use it for small group instruction. I would like to be able to meet with a few children at the same time for direct instruction or intervention activities and meeting on a bright and colorful rug would be perfect and truly mean so much to all of us.

About my class
