The supplies, I'm requesting are to help create a student centered collaborative atmosphere in my classroom. I would LOVE to get rid their desk and have them sit in teams, so that they can expand their learning. My vision is for students to work together and teach each other. My goal is to only have to plant the skills and allow students to problem solve their reasoning and their thinking together to come up with a plan to figure their tasks out. Student learn best from their peers, and I'd love to facilitate that and help them grow into problem solvers and team players. With the requested supplies, I want to sit students in groups so they can work collaboratively. The tables would make it easier to really dig into instruction and be engaged. The media cart will help save space for more partner work and group work around my classroom. The table easel will help students take turns.
