The materials I am requesting will allow my students to complete their Genius Hour projects. Genius Hour is an activity my students are working on every Friday. For "Genius Hour" students are planning and working on a passion project related to what we are studying. Some students are creating models, some using technology, and others writing their own books or songs. Many of my students do not have the means to bring necessary and basic supplies from home in order to complete their projects. Genius hour is helping my students learn more about things they are already interested and passionate about and I hope to be able to continue these types of projects every year. The supplies I am requesting include basic classroom supplies like paint, glue sticks, scissors, and construction paper, which will allow my students to create their best projects without worry of how they are going to get the supplies they need. I am requesting folders to help keep my students organized. The printer will allow for my students to have access to print all necessary parts of their project independently.
