In the area of exceptional education it is very important to be flexible. Flexible seating is ideal for those students who are constantly moving. The majority of my students struggle to sit in a standard chair for any length of time without something to keep them focused. Sensory items and boogie boards also encourage the students to put their focus on their work rather than their constant need move. Lastly an iPad helps the students to be independent in their learning and and it is an amazing resource to learn their sight words and sounds! The students are in constant need for movement and sensory output which comes from wiggle stools, boogie boards, sensory items and an iPad. By being able to sit and move freely along with using hands on items, the students will be able to set their minds on their tasks!
