My students will use iPads in a variety of ways. They will use technology to read articles, books, and to do research for more in depth assignments. Students will use technology daily to use programs to enhance their individual academic needs. Ipads will challenge the higher level thinkers, or reinforce skills for students that need extra practice. Despite being a suburban school with an active PTO, our school has a severe lack of technology. Our grade level, of about 100 students, has to share one Chromebook cart, with four third grade classrooms, as well as with other grade levels. This deficit makes it difficult for all students to access the benefits of technology. Having any technology in the classroom, even a single iPad, makes a GIGANTIC difference for student learning.
