My kiddos are starting to lose steam, and are seeking more physical and creative time during this pandemic. They want to be able to play, draw, and express themselves. Extracurricular activities have been cancelled this year to promote student safety, so I have started a "Student Council". Im advocating for my students and curating activities that will maintain social distance, but promote Student Joy! With student feedback we have created a calendar that involves yoga, painting, and relay races to unwind at the end of each week. Through this initiative, I hope that students will be able to paint, play, and socialize in a way that will continue to push them to grow into expressive, self-aware, young adults.
