Have you ever read a really good book or watched an intense TV episode and you are just dying to tell SOMEONE?! Have you ever conducted a science experiment that worked and exploded and it was so radical that you wanted to do it repeatedly?! This is the excitement my students experience with almost any topic thrown at them. They are always asking questions and wanting to know more. My students are begging to participate in Reader's Theatre, literature circles, science experiments, art projects, PE challenges, etc. My students are transforming into authors, illustrators, scientists, artists, politicians, you name it! Students willingly sacrifice their recess and after-school time to continue to learn. These students deserve the basic supplies needed to advance their learning. :-)
