My students are truly amazing to work with. They come to school everyday to work their very best regardless of what personal challenges they may have. They all want to learn the same way that others do but often struggle with just maintaining focus and realizing just how smart they are. The school that I work in is a Title one school and many of the students benefit from free and/or reduced meals. Avon is the most economically diverse school in the district while housing the majority of ELL students. Many of my special education students are diagnosed with ADHD, Autism or learning difficulties. Provided with the right atmosphere and tools, they will all be successful learners. They are all smart and need to know that they can be successful in the academic setting.
