Please help us out. The kids in my class are just like a crayon box, they may all appear different on the outside but their purpose to being at school is all the same. No matter what language they speak/understand or their economic backgrounds, they are all there to LEARN in a safe and nurturing environment. Since the school was closed for many years, we do not have the finer materials to teach our children with. I'm a second year teacher in a very old early childhood school which was closed for many years and just reopened a couple of years ago. A lot of my materials were given to me from teachers that have retired and the newer items were borrowed for days at a time. I would like for "my kids" to feel as though they are worthy enough for newer materials that will have a forever designated space in our room. A place that they are happy to go to daily and proud to call their classroom their second home.
