This project is necessary because I want to foster a love of learning in my students. In order to make this possible, I feel that my students should be comfortable and relaxed while engaged in schoolwork. For many students, school is an incredibly stressful and anxiety-ridden place, so giving them a portable personal space is my priority. This school year will be difficult for many. These portable student lap desks will support my students’ academic pursuits in an enriching and nurturing environment. They can be used in the classroom or outside while we are social distancing.

About my class
