Just imagine, 15 students working diligently working, using differentiated, engaging centers. All students working at their level and meeting their individual needs.......
This is the expectation and ideal situation this day in age. Unfortunately, with lack of resources, it is hard to give each of the kids all the tools they need to succeed. Schools allow for a designated number of copies, but then what?
At our school, we believe in standards based teaching. I love this method, it allows for teachers to use their skills to determine the needs of each students and to provide the resources necessary to push each student to success. Unfortunately, that also means that we are not given the tools and worksheets necessary to do so. It is up to us to find and print off everything we need to teach throughout the year. This autonomy is amazing until it is up to us to create the resources.
Receiving the two printers with copy paper to help print would incredibly impact my classroom to provide what is needed for classroom lessons as well as centers/tools each of them need to reach their fullest potential by the end of the year. I will not only be able to plan and print at school what is needed for day-to-day instruction, but I would also be able to complete the majority of my work at home (when we all know all the planning really happens!) for activities, crafts, centers, and pre-planning for the holidays.
When funded, I have already planned to create RTI and intervention binders with paperwork, guided reading activities, centers (guided reading, writing, book study, rhyming, comprehension) as well as printing all of the worksheets necessary to teach daily. Please help provide these printers so I can give my students what they need to succeed!
